Up for sale is very Interesting and Rare in new condition large-format ALBUM Folklor | Folklore book by Franciszek Ziejka, Andrzej Rataj, Wladyslaw Pluta, Anna Spiss released by Bosh Art in Poland in 2001. Book is in Polish and English language. Book is large format book in new condition, sleeve has some dust/marks from storage. This is copiously illustrated album showcases the many diverse facets of Polish folk culture: artistic craft, everyday objects, folk attire, sculpture and painting. The exhibits in the album come from the collection of the Ethnographical Museum in Cracow. The people of Poland recognized the value of folk culture already in the 19th century, when their country was bereft of independence. Since that time they have envisaged folklore as an important part of their national culture. For nearly 200 years they have been collecting testimonials to folk culture, such as folk costumes, interior decoration, folk art, and objects illustrative of rural culture.
